Congressman Jim Baird, who represents Indiana’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted his engagements with local communities and policy discussions through a series of posts on social media.
On August 5, 2025, Baird shared his experience at a local parade, stating, "I had a wonderful time meeting with our outstanding police officers and Hoosiers of all ages at the Morgan County Old Settlers Parade! It’s an honor to represent them in Congress." Later that day, he encouraged his followers to tune in for an event by posting, "TUNE IN at 5:00 PM ET!"
Continuing his outreach efforts, Baird posted on August 6 about a recent discussion with constituents: "I had a great time speaking with Hoosiers in Hendricks County last night! I discussed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, the importance of our great agriculture industry, and @POTUS’ and Congressional Republicans’ successful border security policies."
Baird has served as the representative for Indiana’s 4th district since 2019 after succeeding Todd Rokita. Before joining Congress, he was a member of the Indiana House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018 and previously served on the Putnam County Commission from 2006 to 2010. Born in Covington in 1945 and now residing in Greencastle, Baird graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1967.
