Congressman Jim Baird, who represents Indiana’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of posts on his official social media account addressing topics ranging from constitutional rights to local industry and tax policy.

On September 4, 2025, Baird expressed agreement with Senator Ted Cruz regarding the origin of individual rights, stating: ".@SenTedCruz is correct. Our rights come from God, not the government."

Later that day, he highlighted a visit to a major employer in his district: "I recently toured @CNHIndustrial’s facility in Lebanon, IN and met with their outstanding staff. CNH Industrial develops cutting-edge equipment for our farmers, and I’m grateful to have them in our district!"

On September 5, Baird commented on recent legislative action affecting taxpayers: "I proudly voted to deliver a historic TAX CUT that will INCREASE annual take-home pay for hardworking Hoosier families."

Baird has represented Indiana’s 4th District since 2019 after succeeding Todd Rokita. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of the Indiana House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018 and served as Putnam County Commissioner from 2006 to 2010. Born in Covington in 1945 and currently residing in Greencastle, Baird graduated from Purdue University in West Lafayette with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1967.
