U.S. Congressman Jim Baird, who represents Indiana’s 4th district, used his social media platform to highlight recent legislative activity and recognize government leadership in supporting local recovery efforts.
On July 22, 2025, Baird posted about a discussion in the House Agriculture Committee: "Today in @HouseAgGOP, I asked about what can be done to streamline the regulatory process for plant biostimulants. I also discussed my bill with @RepJimmyPanetta, the Plant Biostimulant Act, which seeks to create more regulatory certainty and support innovation.

Later that same day, he expressed appreciation for federal and state leaders: "Thank you @POTUS and @GovBraun for your strong leadership and helping Hoosiers recover! https://t.co/pu82ZXHGlP" The tweet referred to ongoing recovery initiatives affecting Indiana residents.
Two days later, on July 24, 2025, Baird again addressed agricultural issues in Congress: "In @HouseAgGOP, I asked producers about their experiences with California’s Prop 12 and how the law undermines producers’ ability to care for their animals. https://t.co/RgLT9L9Pmh"
Baird has served as Indiana’s 4th District representative since 2019 after succeeding Todd Rokita. Before joining Congress, he was a member of the Indiana House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018 and previously held a position on the Putnam County Commission from 2006 to 2010. Born in Covington in 1945 and currently residing in Greencastle, Baird graduated from Purdue University in West Lafayette with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1967.
