On July 7, 2025, Congressman Baird expressed his condolences and gratitude regarding the recent flooding in Texas. He urged for continued prayers for those affected by the tragedy and commended first responders for their efforts. "Please join me in continuing to pray for the families who are affected by the tragic flooding in Texas and facing unimaginable grief. I also want to thank the heroic first responders for their ongoing efforts in the wake of this tragedy."

The following day, on July 8, 2025, Baird addressed misconceptions about a legislative initiative known as "The One Big Beautiful Bill." He clarified that it is not merely a tax break for billionaires but instead provides substantial tax cuts to middle- and working-class Americans. "MYTH: The One Big Beautiful Bill is just a tax break for billionaires. FACT: The One Big Beautiful Bill delivers the largest middle- and working-class tax cut in U.S. history!
