Congressman Jim Baird, representing Indiana’s 4th district, shared a series of tweets on June 16 and 17, 2025. Baird has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2019, following his tenure in the Indiana House of Representatives and the Putnam County Commission.

On June 16, Congressman Baird expressed optimism about the potential impact of the One Big Beautiful Bill on families in Indiana. He stated that "The One Big Beautiful Bill delivers economic prosperity for Hoosier families!" According to Baird, this legislation could result in a higher take-home pay ranging from $6,800 to $11,500 for a typical family of four in Indiana. He expressed hope that President Biden would sign this bill into law soon.

Later that day, Baird participated in an interview with Newsmax to discuss significant topics including the U.S. Army's milestone anniversary and geopolitical issues. He highlighted Israel's right to self-defense amidst ongoing conflicts by stating "Israel has a right to defend itself as the country fights for its very existence."

The following day, on June 17, Baird continued to advocate for the One Big Beautiful Bill by emphasizing its benefits for American workers and businesses. He outlined several key provisions such as "No taxes on tips and overtime," "Repeals Democrats’ gig worker rule," "Renews incentives for research and development," "Makes the small business deduction permanent," and "Reduces reporting."

Jim Baird was born in Covington, Indiana in 1945 and currently resides in Greencastle. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University.
