Congressman Jim Baird, representing Indiana’s 4th district, has recently addressed significant issues through his social media presence. Serving in the U.S. Congress since 2019 after replacing Todd Rokita, Baird has been active in discussions related to foreign policy and domestic legislation.

On May 21, 2025, Congressman Baird posted about his participation in a House Foreign Affairs Committee meeting. He queried Secretary Rubio regarding "China's growing influence in Africa," the intersection of agriculture with national security, and the efficacy of federal foreign aid programs. Baird emphasized the importance of using taxpayer dollars wisely.

Later that day, Baird expressed his support for the "One Big, Beautiful Bill" on Twitter. He joined @CaucusMain to advocate for this legislation aimed at benefiting Rural America and solidifying what he described as President Trump's successful agenda.

Jim Baird was born in Covington, Indiana in 1945 and currently resides in Greencastle. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University obtained in 1967. Before serving in Congress, he held positions in the Indiana House of Representatives and Putnam County Commission.
