On April 30, 2025, Baird spoke on the House Floor to congratulate the McCutcheon High School Mavericks Robotics team for their achievement in winning the 2025 FIRST Robotics Competition World Championship. This acknowledgment reflects Baird's support for education and innovation, particularly in the field of robotics.

Later that day, Baird honored Sgt. Rodney Jenkins for his retirement after more than 26 years of dedicated service with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
