Congressman Jim Baird, representing Indiana’s 4th district, shared a series of endorsements and legislative efforts on Twitter. Baird has served in Congress since 2019, succeeding Todd Rokita. Prior to his congressional role, Baird was a member of the Indiana House of Representatives and the Putnam County Commission. With a background in agriculture from Purdue University, he has held a steadfast position on several legislative matters.

On April 10, Baird expressed his pride in voting for a budget resolution designed to support President Trump's legislative agenda. The plan aims to "secure our border, provide historic tax cuts to Hoosiers, support families and small businesses, and achieve a pro-growth economic agenda."

In another tweet on the same day, Baird voiced his support for the SAVE Act, introduced by Representative Chip Roy. This act would ensure only American citizens can register to vote in federal elections. He stated, "This should not be controversial. It’s common sense!"

On April 11, Baird announced the introduction of the Small Modular Reactor Commercialization Act of 2025, alongside Representatives Pat Harrigan and Claudia Tenney. The legislation aims to bolster the United States' position in small modular reactor technology and reinforce the nation as a significant figure in nuclear energy manufacturing.

Jim Baird, 77, was born in Covington, Indiana. He currently resides in Greencastle and has been a notable figure in both state and national politics, advocating for policies supporting economic growth and voters' rights.
