Brownsburg Parks Increases Accessibility at Blues in the 'Burg

Brownsburg Parks Increases Accessibility at Blues in the 'Burg

The Town of Brownsburg Park's events are now even more accessible and inclusive for all community members to enjoy.

Thanks to a grant from the Parks Foundation of Hendricks County, a new Mobi-Mat will increase access to events by creating temporary pathways. The blue mobility mat is ADA compliant, portable, and non-slip.

During Blues in the 'Burg, the Mobi-Mat will be placed from the parking lot into the lawn so wheel-chair bound guests can enjoy the music festival from a great viewpoint. Easy access to the food truck area and restrooms will also be available.

In addition, Brownsburg Parks is partnering with K1ds Count to provide two sensory tents. These tents will provide a relaxing, quiet space for visitors to enjoy the festival. Headphones, special seating, fans, and weighted blankets will be available.

The Town of Brownsburg Parks is proud to continue improving accessibility and inclusivity through parks and events.
