Congressman Jim Baird, who represents Indiana’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently highlighted several local developments and events through his social media posts, focusing on advancements in nuclear energy, business achievements, and community celebrations.
On November 4, 2025, Baird expressed support for an innovative energy project in Indiana: "I’m proud to see that @fanuclear is developing the first closed fuel cycle nuclear energy plant in the country, and it will be built right here in the State of Indiana! Indiana continues to prove our state is leading our nation in innovation, energy independence, and nuclear".
Three days later, on November 7, 2025, Baird attended a business-focused event and acknowledged Indiana’s economic climate: "I was honored to attend the @GLCommerce Annual Dinner last night to highlight the outstanding businesses in our district and celebrate their successes. Baird has served as Indiana’s 4th District representative since 2019 after succeeding Todd Rokita. He previously held positions in the Indiana House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018 and on the Putnam County Commission from 2006 to 2010. Born in Covington in 1945 and currently residing in Greencastle, Baird earned a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette in 1967.
