Congressman Jim Baird, who represents Indiana’s 4th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, posted a series of updates on social media this week addressing technology education, foreign policy, and military appreciation.

On September 17, 2025, Baird called attention to an educational initiative for young people in his district: "Today is #NationalAppChallengeDay! I encourage all young coders in Indiana's Fourth Congressional District to join the Congressional App Challenge and submit their innovative apps by October 30, 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for children to showcase their skills and".

Later that evening on September 18, Baird highlighted his legislative efforts regarding U.S. funding for international organizations: "WATCH: In @HouseForeignGOP, I spoke on my amendment to the State Department reauthorization to include my bill, the NOPE Act, to prohibit the U.S. from funding UN organizations that offer status, rights, or privileges to the PA or PLO beyond observer status."

Also on September 18, he marked a milestone for the U.S. Air Force with a congratulatory message: "Happy 78th Birthday to the @USAirForce! Thank you to the courageous men and women of the U.S. Air Force who have dominated the skies, guarded our airspace, and defended our freedoms. Fly, fight, win! "

Baird has served as representative for Indiana’s 4th district since 2019 after succeeding Todd Rokita ([source](https://baird.house.gov/about)). Prior to his congressional tenure starting in Washington D.C., he was a member of both the Indiana House of Representatives (2010-2018) and Putnam County Commission (2006-2010).
