Congressman Jim Baird, who represents Indiana’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on his activities and reflections through a series of social media posts.

On Constitution Day, September 17, 2025, Baird reflected on the significance of the U.S. Constitution: "On September 17, 1787, the U.S. Constitution was ratified, establishing our great Republic and safeguarding our fundamental rights. Baird has served as a member of Congress since replacing Todd Rokita in 2019 and previously held positions in both state government and local county commission roles. He has represented Indiana’s 4th District since that time after earlier service in state and county government from 2006 onward. Born in Covington in 1945 and currently residing in Greencastle at age 77, Baird is also an alumnus of Purdue University (BS ‘67).
