Congressman Jim Baird, who represents Indiana’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on his activities and reflections through a series of social media posts.

On September 15, 2025, Baird highlighted his participation in a local business event: "I was honored to attend the @CvilleCommerce Award Banquet last week, and it was great to meet with the Chamber's Executive Director Stacy Sommer. I am continually impressed by the outstanding business leaders in Montgomery County. I will continue to work to ensure our vibrant https://t.co/0iXvC6lPlf".

The following day, September 16, 2025, he expressed appreciation for NASA’s ongoing efforts: "Today, I was honored to meet the members of @NASA’s Expedition 72 Crew! I thank this outstanding crew for their incredible contributions in the final frontier. https://t.co/8dDtEGlYu6".

On Constitution Day, September 17, 2025, Baird reflected on the significance of the U.S. Constitution: "On September 17, 1787, the U.S. Constitution was ratified, establishing our great Republic and safeguarding our fundamental rights. This Constitution Day, we must remember to preserve and defend the liberty our Founders secured for us. https://t.co/FUoSSONFnD".

Baird has served as a member of Congress since replacing Todd Rokita in 2019 and previously held positions in both state government and local county commission roles. He has represented Indiana’s 4th District since that time after earlier service in state and county government from 2006 onward. Born in Covington in 1945 and currently residing in Greencastle at age 77, Baird is also an alumnus of Purdue University (BS ‘67).
