Congressman Jim Baird, who represents Indiana’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed a range of issues through his official Twitter account.

On September 10, 2025, Baird shared his position on the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026 by posting: "My full statement after voting for the FY2026 NDAA https://t.co/Y978LdKIXY".

Shortly after midnight on September 11, 2025, Baird expressed condolences regarding the passing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. He wrote: "I am devastated to hear that Charlie Kirk has passed away. He was a passionate leader and an inspiration for so many young conservatives in America. Charlie dedicated his life to serving God and advocating for the values that make our country the greatest nation on earth. Please".

Later that day, marking the anniversary of the September 11 attacks, Baird posted a tribute: "Today, on the anniversary of 9/11, we remember the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives in the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and Flight 93.

May we always honor the victims, their families, and the first responders for their heroism and sacrifice. https://t.co/WaQodl85yP" (September 11, 2025).

Baird has served in Congress since replacing Todd Rokita in 2019 and previously held positions in both state government and local administration. He was born in Covington, Indiana in 1945 and resides in Greencastle. His educational background includes earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette in 1967.
