Congressman Jim Baird, who represents Indiana’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of posts on social media detailing his participation in events at the White House and his views on national defense policy.

On September 7, 2025, Baird posted about attending a special event at the White House: "Before heading home for the weekend, I attended the inaugural dinner at the new Rose Garden Club at the @WhiteHouse. I was honored to be part of a small group of leaders selected by President Trump as he unveiled the beautiful, updated Rose Garden."

The following day, September 8, Baird reiterated his appreciation for the opportunity to meet with President Trump: "I was honored to meet with President Trump at the inaugural dinner of the new Rose Garden Club. I look forward to continuing to work with @POTUS to deliver historic wins for the American people and make America great once again! "

On September 9, Baird addressed national defense legislation in another post: "This year’s FY2026 National Defense Authorization Act:

Codifies President Trump’s peace through strength agenda.

Secures our borders.

Ends woke DEI and CRT policies in the military.

Ensures our military is the most capable, lethal fighting force in the world."

Jim Baird has served as Indiana's 4th District representative since 2019 after replacing Todd Rokita. Before joining Congress, he served in both state and local government roles from 2006 onward. Born in Covington, Indiana in 1945 and currently residing in Greencastle, Baird holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University.
