Congressman Jim Baird, who represents Indiana’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed economic and legislative issues in a series of posts on his social media account.

On September 9, 2025, Baird commented on newly released labor statistics: "The Bureau of Labor Statistics announced a downward jobs revision from April 2024 to March 2025 of over 900,000 jobs. This was the largest annual jobs revision in U.S. history. Biden cooked the books to hide his broken economy. This is Bidenomics."

Later that day, Baird highlighted his bipartisan legislative efforts by announcing the reintroduction of a bill: "I'm proud to reintroduce the PART Act with @BettyMcCollum04 to help reduce catalytic converter thefts and provide local law enforcement officers with the tools to curb these costly thefts." He followed up with a link for more information: "Read more about the PART Act here: https://t.co/dcABnFKPn4" (all posted on September 9, 2025).

Jim Baird has served as a U.S. Congressman since 2019 after replacing Todd Rokita and previously held roles in the Indiana House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018 and as Putnam County Commissioner from 2006 to 2010. He was born in Covington, Indiana in 1945 and currently resides in Greencastle. Baird graduated from Purdue University, West Lafayette in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
