Congressman Jim Baird, who represents Indiana’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of posts on social media highlighting policy positions, commemorating fallen service members, and supporting local business developments.
On August 25, 2025, Baird praised former President Donald Trump’s approach to public safety in the nation’s capital. He stated: "President Trump's tough-on-crime policies are WORKING and are making D.C. safer!"
The following day, August 26, Baird reflected on the anniversary of the Abbey Gate terrorist attack at Kabul airport during the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. In his post he wrote: "Four years ago today, 13 service members, including Cpl. Humberto A. Sanchez from Logansport, IN, lost their lives in the Abbey Gate terrorist attack during the Biden Administration's catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan. I had the honor of meeting with Cpl. Sanchez's family"
On August 28, Baird turned his attention to economic development within Indiana by attending an event for a growing local company. He posted: "I was honored to attend the ribbon cutting for Fiber Global’s new location in Brownsburg, IN! Fiber Global’s mission is to reclaim global waste streams to create building materials, and I am proud to see Indiana-based businesses like this one expand and thrive."

Born in Covington in 1945 and currently residing in Greencastle, Baird holds a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University.
