Congressman Jim Baird, who represents Indiana’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on his official X (formerly Twitter) account regarding his activities and meetings with constituents and organizations.
On August 6, 2025, Baird posted about his participation in a discussion focused on international relations and national security. He wrote, "I was honored to join @JodyHiceFRCA last night on @FRCdc's Washington Watch to discuss the United States' relationship with Israel and Israel's right to defend itself from evil Hamas terrorists. Baird has represented Indiana’s 4th congressional district since 2019 after succeeding Todd Rokita. Prior to serving in Congress, he held positions in both the Indiana House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018 and as a Putnam County Commissioner from 2006 to 2010. Born in Covington in 1945 and currently residing in Greencastle—where some of these community engagements took place—Baird is an alumnus of Purdue University West Lafayette (graduating with a BS degree in 1967).
