Congressman Jim Baird, who represents Indiana’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on his activities and legislative priorities through a series of posts on his social media account.

On July 21, 2025, Baird posted about his visit to a local event: "I had a wonderful time meeting with Hoosiers at the Putnam County Fair over the weekend! I had a great time speaking with families and seeing all the hard work from our outstanding 4-H members! https://t.co/wgKFZeG5WA".

Later that day, he commented on recent federal policy achievements under President Biden’s administration: ".@POTUS has had monumental success in just his first six months in office:

Delivered historic tax cuts with the OBBB

Most secure border on record

Restoring peace through strength

Saving taxpayers billions of dollars

Lower gas prices nationwide

I am proud to work".

On July 22, Baird addressed upcoming legislative action in Congress regarding energy policy: "This week, the House will vote to overturn the Biden Administration's anti-energy regulations and unleash America's vast domestic energy resources.

Let's make America energy dominant again! ".

Baird has served as Indiana’s 4th district representative since 2019 after replacing Todd Rokita. Before joining Congress, he was a member of the Indiana House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018 and served on the Putnam County Commission from 2006 to 2010. Born in Covington, Indiana in 1945, Baird is currently based in Greencastle. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette in 1967.
