Congressman Jim Baird, representing Indiana's 4th district, used social media to comment on developments in national policies over the first 100 days under the current administration. Having served in the U.S. Congress since 2019 after succeeding Todd Rokita, Baird has been known for sharing his legislative priorities and perspectives on national issues.

On April 28, 2025, Baird posted that in just 100 days, the current administration, led by the President and Secretary Kristi Noem, restored national border security. He stated, "In just 100 days, @POTUS and @Sec_Noem have restored our nation's border security! Daily border encounters are down by 93%. Encounters with gotaways are down by 95%. Promises made. Promises kept."

The following day, on April 29, 2025, Baird reflected on the administration's broader policy impact, claiming significant reversals of previous policies. He noted, "In 100 days, @POTUS and his administration have been reversing the disastrous Biden-era policies and are working hard to usher in the Golden Age of America. Promises made. Promises kept."

Later on the same day, Baird detailed achievements attributed to the administration during the initial 100-day period. These accomplishments include securing the southern border, reinforcing a foreign policy centered on peace through strength, achieving American energy independence, and facilitating job growth. He stated, "In 100 days, @POTUS has: Secured the southern border. Brought back a successful foreign policy of peace through strength. Unleashed American energy independence. Created 345,000 new jobs, including 9,000 manufacturing jobs." He also mentioned the lowering of prescription drug prices.

Jim Baird, a long-serving public official, was born in 1945 in Covington, Indiana, and has lived in Greencastle following his graduation from Purdue University in 1967. He has a rich history of legislative service, including time in the Indiana House of Representatives and the Putnam County Commission.
