On February 5, 2025, Congressman Baird highlighted the potential for passing a Farm Bill within the year. Later that day, Baird expressed concerns over the protection of research and development from foreign threats. On February 6, Congressman Baird announced the passage of legislation aimed at combating drug-related issues. He noted that ".@HouseGOP just PASSED the HALT Fentanyl Act to give law enforcement the tools they need to keep this deadly drug off our streets and out of our communities." Emphasizing the gravity of the issue, he remarked on the tragic loss of lives due to fentanyl.
