Nowak and Shagam Recognized by Synapse Sports

DePauw Forward, Hailey Nowak (Fr., Oak Park, Ill./ Oak Park & River Forest) and head coach Olivia Shagam were recognized by Synapse Sports as 2022 Division III Post-Season Awards recipients.

Nowak was named to the Division III All-Rookie Team as the only North Coast Athletic Conference representative. She finished the season with 11 goals, three assists, and 25 points, earning her the NCAC Newcomer of the Year award. Nowak's efforts in her rookie season also garnered a spot on the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Region VI second team.

Head coach Olivia Shagam was named the 2022 Synapse Sports Coach of the Year after leading DePauw to a 13-6 overall record and an 8-0 NCAC record for its fourth NCAC regular season championship in her first season with DePauw. Under her leadership, the Tigers scored 46 goals during the 2022 season, were sixth in the nation in goals against average (0.71), and tied for fifth in fewest goals allowed.
