Town of Brownsburg Awarded $1 Million in Grant Funds to Improve Road Infrastructure
Brownsburg residents will soon see local road improvements thanks in part to a grant from the Indiana Department of Transportation’s (INDOT) Community Crossings Matching Grant Fund Program.
Brownsburg received this grant cycle’s maximum award of $1 million in matching grant funding. Fourteen local roads are scheduled to be resurfaced this summer. Market cost and weather will depict how many of the priority projects get completed during the 2022 construction season. Priority projects not completed during the 2022 construction season will move to the top of the 2023 list.
The priority roads include:
- S. Green St., from the S. Town Boundary to Park Lane
- S. Jefferson St. from School St. to Tilden Dr.
- S. Green St. from Airport Rd. to Main St.
- Hollaway Blvd. (Subdivision entrance)
- E. Northfield Dr. from Main St. to Creekside Dr.
- Lincoln Dr. from Lincoln Ave. to the end of the cul de sac
- S. School St. from Jefferson St. to College Ave.
- Southpoint Cir. From Northpoint Cir. To Northfield Dr.
- Midnight Pass from Albatross Ln. to Raven Cir.
- Patrick Pl. from Northfield Dr. to Northfield Dr.
- Hession Farms Blvd. from Settlers Walk to CR 900 E.
- Brooks Bend from Trails End to Winding Creek Trail
- N. 650 E. from CR 700 N. to Oaks at Windridge
- Hamilton St. from Jefferson St. to School St.
Through the program, Brownsburg will match the funding received 50/50.
