We’re happy that spring is here, but even more excited to celebrate new businesses in Brownsburg in our “Open For Business” update! Our Economic Development Department is celebrating a record-breaking year with $155.95 million in capital investment and 959 full-time jobs created paying an average hourly wage of $24.87 in 2021. In addition, our Development Services Department issued 54 commercial permits, a 10 percent increase from 2020.

In February, Garmong Development launched the development of “The Commerce Park at Brownsburg Raceway,” anticipating more than $100 million in new economic development and capital investment to occur within the development. The 47-acre project, located adjacent to both the Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park and the Ronald Reagan Parkway, is expected to bring new autosports companies focused on R&D and autosports manufacturing companies.

Indianapolis-based Acorn Distributors Inc. announced plans to relocate the company’s corporate headquarters to Brownsburg. The company plans to break ground on its 125,000 sq. ft. building this spring and move into the facility in 2023.

Community Health Network and Kindred Rehabilitation Services broke ground on their third inpatient rehabilitation hospital at 8920 E. 56th Street in late January. The 50,000-square-foot, two-story facility, to be called Community Rehabilitation Hospital West, will focus on acute rehabilitation for patients who suffer from stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, complex neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, multiple traumas, amputation, and other injuries or disorders.

In February, Inner Balance – Pilates and Yoga Studio moved to their new studio at 660 Patrick Place. In addition to yoga and pilates classes, they now offer massages and nutrition coaching.

In January, Oasis Salon and Spa relocated to 675 Patrick Place, Suite F. The business provides a variety of hair care services as well as skincare treatments.

Visit the Small Business Hub of Brownsburg at 1060 E. Main St. to find 20 locally-owned businesses and a community food pantry! Homebody Relaxation Company opened in Studio 423 in January. The studio offers massages. Nail salon Birdie Beauty, LLC opened in January in Suite 417. Brie & Bartlett opened “The Lounge” dining area in February in Suite 419. True Esthetics by Tori, LLC opened in March in Suite 421 and offers microblading, brow wax and tint, multiple facials and treatments, makeup sessions, and body waxing. Aura Beauty Studio opened in March in Suite 424 and offers eyebrow, eyelash, and paramedical tattoo services.

The BarberSmith barbershop opened in January at 1036 E. Main St. Walk-ins are welcome.

Main Street Dental Care moved to its new location at 618 E. Main St. in January. Owner Dr. Sharma invested over $1.5 million into building this 7,019 sq. ft. multi-tenant commercial building. Main Street Dental Care occupies 3,315 sq. ft. and the additional space offers opportunities for office and retail.

INKorporated tattoo and piercing shop relocated to 324 E. Main St.

Brightly Art Studio celebrated their grand re-opening celebration in April at 22 E. Main St. The new studio offers retail space, classrooms, and plenty of space to get creative!

Located in the Elevate Office, The Remedy Chiropractic opened in January.

Children’s Art Classes celebrated their grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in February at 578 W Northfield Dr., Suite 1070. The studio offers curriculum-based art classes for kids.

Ritter’s Frozen Custard, located at 1521 N. Green St., Suite D, opened in February.

In January, Mindy’s Brownsburg Signs, Inc. relocated to 421 Johnson Lane, Suite B.

The Brownsburg Farmers Market is proud to support small businesses, local growers, producers, and artisans in Brownsburg and Central Indiana. We strive to create a unique marketplace with a wide variety of locally-produced products available. Applications for the market are open through April 22. The Brownsburg Farmers Market will open for the season on May 26!
