On April 8, 2025, Baird tweeted about his participation in a discussion within the House Agriculture GOP committee. He highlighted the effective implementation of the SNAP Employment and Training program, stating, "In @HouseAgGOP, I discussed how organizations are successfully using the SNAP Employment and Training program to help Americans find and keep higher-paying jobs to help lift them out of poverty."
On the same date, Baird commented on recent Executive Orders by the President, aiming to support the coal industry. Expressing his support, he said, "With his Executive Orders to revitalize our coal industry, @POTUS and his administration are taking historic action to create an American energy renaissance and ensure every Hoosier has access to affordable, reliable, dispatchable energy sources!"
The following day, on April 9, Baird mentioned his involvement with the House Science Committee to address national security and technological competitiveness. Baird, who has a long history of public service including positions within the Indiana House of Representatives and as a Putnam County Commissioner, continues to represent Indiana's 4th district with a focus on employment, energy, and technology. He is a Purdue University graduate and resides in Greencastle.
