In a tweet dated March 26, 2025, Congressman Baird raised concerns about "the effects of environmental disasters in Africa that are directly linked to Chinese-owned companies and their negligent business practices." He expressed his ongoing commitment to holding the Chinese Communist Party accountable for international actions that he deems malign.

On March 27, 2025, Congressman Baird announced his vote to "PASS two bills to rescind the Biden Administration’s unreasonable energy standards for commercial refrigeration equipment and walk-in coolers and freezers." Highlighting efforts by the House GOP, he mentioned that this move aims to "lower energy costs and make appliances more affordable and reliable for Hoosiers."

Most recently, on March 28, 2025, Congressman Baird extended his support to the Purdue Boilermakers basketball team. He tweeted, "Good luck to @BoilerBall as they play Houston TONIGHT in the Sweet 16 at Lucas Oil Stadium!" showing his connection to Purdue University, where he graduated with a BS in 1967.
