Congressman Jim Baird, representing Indiana's 4th district, has recently shared several updates via social media regarding agricultural and economic matters affecting his constituents. His communications highlight appreciation for local farmers, address changes in egg prices, and discuss shifts in gas prices.

On March 18, 2025, Congressman Baird marked National Ag Day by expressing gratitude towards Indiana farmers. He stated: "Today is National Ag Day! Please join me in thanking our farmers in Indiana who work tirelessly every single day to fuel our economy and feed our families and communities across the globe!"

The following day, March 19, 2025, he acknowledged National Poultry Day with a focus on declining egg prices. He tweeted: "Today is National Poultry Day! Egg prices have declined by nearly 50% since January 21, 2025. I thank the @USDA and @SecRollins for their efforts to combat avian flu and reduce egg prices for Hoosier families!"

Later that same day, Congressman Baird commented on the decrease in gas prices within Indiana over the past year. He noted: "The average price for a gallon of gas in Indiana one year ago was $3.53. Today, the average price for a gallon of gas in Indiana has fallen to $2.93. @HouseGOP and @POTUS are working hard to lower energy costs by unleashing American energy dominance!"
