Congressman Jim Baird, who represents Indiana’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, shared his views on international and local matters through a series of tweets. Baird has been serving in Congress since 2019, succeeding Todd Rokita, and has a long history of public service in Indiana.

On November 21, 2024, Congressman Baird expressed his support for Israel's right to self-defense against Hamas. He criticized the International Criminal Court's decision regarding Prime Minister Netanyahu: "Israel has the right to defend itself from Hamas terrorists who seek Israel’s destruction. The International Criminal Court's decision to issue an arrest warrant against Prime Minister Netanyahu is shameful and unacceptable. The U.S. proudly stands with our ally Israel."

The following day, November 22, 2024, he turned his attention to local sports achievements by congratulating South Putnam High School’s football team on reaching the Semi-State game: "The @SouthPutnamCSC's High School football team will play in the Semi-State game TONIGHT at 7 PM ET! Congratulations to South Putnam Football on making it to Semi-State and good luck! #WarEagles #EaglesWay"

Later that day, Congressman Baird also acknowledged Martinsville High School’s football team for their advancement to the same stage: "The @MSDMartinsville High School football team will play in the Semi-State game TONIGHT at 7 PM ET! Congratulations to @Martinsville_FB on making it to Semi-State and go Artesians!"
