Congressman Jim Baird, who has been serving Indiana’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress since 2019, shared several updates through his social media account. The tweets cover topics ranging from local constituent services to commendations for community achievements and legislative efforts regarding veterans' healthcare.

On November 16, 2024, Congressman Baird invited residents of Cass County to attend Mobile Office Hours scheduled for November 22nd. He stated, "Attention Cass County: Please visit us during our Mobile Office Hours on November 22nd if you have questions or need assistance with issues related to federal agencies." Baird emphasized that his staff is available to assist with inquiries related to Social Security, Medicare, VA benefits, and more.

Two days later, on November 18, he congratulated a local high school marching band for their recent achievements. He wrote, "Congratulations to @AHS_Orioles' Marching Black and Gold for winning the Bands of America Grand National Championship and ISSMA State Finals for the second year in a row!"

Later that same day, Congressman Baird expressed his support for legislation aimed at improving healthcare access for veterans. In his tweet, he noted the importance of timely care from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), stating "Access to timely health care is mission-critical for the VA. Failure to deliver is unacceptable." He mentioned supporting H.R. 8371 by Rep. Ciscomani which seeks to ensure same-day scheduling at VA facilities.
