The following day, on May 13, he highlighted positive economic news concerning inflation rates. In a tweet, he noted that “The annual inflation rate is at its lowest since February 2021. The price of: ️Gasoline is down 11.8%. Public transportation is down 5.6%. Airline fares is down 7.9%. Food at home is down 2%.” He added that both the House GOP and President Biden are committed to continuing efforts to lower prices and reduce inflation.
On May 14, Congressman Baird expressed his belief in the potential for positive change through governmental action. He tweeted about ongoing initiatives by stating that “I believe we have a real opportunity to do right by the American people.” Furthermore, he emphasized the role of the House Agriculture Committee in supporting President Trump’s agenda aimed at fiscal responsibility and reducing waste.
