Congressman Jim Baird, representing Indiana’s 4th district, shared a series of tweets on June 14 and June 16, 2025. Baird has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2019 after replacing Todd Rokita. Prior to his congressional role, he served in the Indiana House of Representatives and as a Putnam County Commissioner.
On June 14, Congressman Baird extended birthday wishes to President Biden with the tweet: “Happy Birthday, @POTUS! Thank you for making America great once again! “
Later that day, Baird celebrated Flag Day by recognizing the American flag as a global symbol of freedom. He tweeted: “Happy Flag Day! Today, we celebrate our great American flag, a symbol of freedom around the world. “
On June 16, Congressman Baird commented on an incident involving political violence in Minnesota. He expressed relief over the apprehension of a suspect and gratitude towards law enforcement officers involved. His tweet read: “I am glad to see that the suspect in Minnesota has been apprehended, and I thank the law enforcement officers involved. This politically motivated violence has no place in our country. I pray the victims’ families receive swift justice, and I pray for the full recovery of John”
Jim Baird was born in Covington, Indiana in 1945 and resides in Greencastle. He is an alumnus of Purdue University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree.
